Likewise with regards to college open days: make sure the message is correct. Slang and other terms can of course be used, but this again will depend on what kind of event it is.
A catchy title is also another thing to factor in to the creation of the message. Do not make the banner’s title too long. When people are at a convention or a trade fair, they are constantly being bombarded with information from all sides. Any message written must be short, snappy and quick. The message should get to the point and not ramble on. With so much to see and so much to do, people are quickly going to get bored and move on to the next stand. The best thing to do would be to have a quick, catchy message and then maybe a short description beneath it if people wish to read further.
Designs, logos and other little additions are also welcome additions to any stand. In this sense it would make the banner stand look interesting and give people more reason to pay attention. Of course, this is all to direct attention upon the product, job or department that is being promoted.
