How I fixed my windows registry

without comments

It is my assumption that the problem of slow computers is failry wide spread so I wrote this account of how i fixed mine to help others with the same problem. So let start by looking at what was actually going wrong with the computer. Well over the years the performance of my computer had dropped off slowly but significantly. My computer now took much longer to load up and software didnt seem to respond as well as it used to, frequently crashing.

I had of course thought about replacing the computer but this seemed to me like an expensive option epically as I was not trying to do anything which the computer had not been capable of in the past. So I began to search the Internet for a solution and I came across www.fix-this-computer.com a web site offering advice on getting the most out of your computer. I browsed the site and tried out the virus and spyware checkers. These scans didnt find anyhting but then i cam across the section of the web site about windows registry errors. I read the articles and the problmes described matched up to what I was suffering from so I decided I had registry errors. I clicked on the link for a free scan and was redirecting to a software site where I was able to download some software which scanned my computer for registry errors. The scan took about twenty minutes and found a staggering 307 errors. I elected to purchase the software to fix these problems and upon purchasing a license was given a password to upgrade the software from the trial version. Using the software was simple and it was quickly scanning my computer for errors. It took the software ten minutes to repair the registry errors and since it did my computer has ran like new.

Fed Up With Your Slow Laptop? – Laptop Speed Up The Easy Way

without comments

Technology never seems to stop racing ahead and before one product has even gone to market quite often it has been superseded by a newer faster model.

Consumers often go out and buy the latest and greatest computers, laptop and gadgets when they don’t realy need to , or they simply haven’t found the best way to make there existing device work better.

When it comes to the family Pc however I think the technology giants like Intel, Amd, Hp and Dell for example are all missing the point when it comes to your average consumer.

A majority of computer users do not play games on their computers (they probably have a play station or a Wii), nor do they use massively processor hungry applications like computer aided design packages or finite element (fea) calculation packages.

Computer vendors would have us believe that we all need multi processor cores so we can multi task and have a finite number of applications running it the same time when in all fairness most users will never have more than three or four applications open at any on time.

One fact that is undeniable though is that when you go and buy your next Pc with all its raw computing power you will probably still need to by something extra to make it work efficiently within a short space of time.

A well rounded and efficient computer or laptop isn’t just about the processor speed, granted that does help but only up to a point, but your system does need to be in balance and, a majority are not.

What we are talking about here is the amount of memory in your Pc, or should I say the lack of it.

As Pc power increases programs get more complex, and as they get more complex they use more computer memory.

The more programs you install even if only working in the background i.e. virus software, music editing programs and other favorite utilities the greater the system memory will be used and so it goes on.

Simply put the more memory the programs have to access, the faster and more efficiently the Pc will work.

This is all well and good but the problem occurs when your computer runs out of memory and has to start using the hard drive as extended memory instead.

This is magnitudes slower performance wise than the system memory and will not stop your Pc from working but will certainly slow it down, sometimes to the point of almost stopping.

Computer memory upgrades are easily obtainable fortunately and something which you can do yourself. You can do an online computer memory scan to ensure and guarantee that the memory is indeed correct for your system and fit it yourself when it arrives a few days later if ordered on line.

To see how easy it is to install extra memory in your computer or laptop, simply visit the computer support and repair and watch the video.

Or you can contact you local computer repair professional who can also perform this inexpensive task if you have already purchased a new Pc or if your existing system is running slowly.
