Making Sure Your Computer Parts Works Fine

without comments

From Cheap netbook. You can increase the life of your PC Parts if you just clean it properly. Yes, believe it or not, the amount of dust accumulated in your Hardware can slowly choke the life out of it. By simply opening up the Computer tower and dusting off the dirt that on your motherboard, peripherals and fans you can get to use your PC for a long time or just until the time you need to upgrade your system.

The fans would be the first ones you need to clean. You will find the blades thick with dirt which can cause the fan to run slower. This will greatly affect your overall cooling system which can affect the overall performance of your Desktop and worse cause your Computer to overheat. Heat is the worst enemy of Desktop Components. You have to clean all the fans, including the fan of the processor, the chip set if it has one and even the one on the video card.

Aside from the fans, the cooling vents of the Computer tower needs to be cleaned as well. Good and clean working fans won’t be that much good if the vents are all blocked up. The heated air from the inside of the Desktop tower will not be vented out causing the warm air to just go round and round inside the tower.

Using a soft brush can do the trick, but there are some places where the brushes cannot reach or clean properly. The inside parts of the peripheral or RAM slots for example are quite difficult to clean. What you can do is buy a can of compressed air which is readily available in any office supply or Computer Hardware shops. The compressed air will blow away the dust from the components. Just make sure to keep the nozzle of the can at least four inches away when you do this. This is to prevent the compressed air from damaging your components.

Other things that you will need when cleaning your PC includes screwdrivers, rubbing alcohol, paper towels or better yet those anti-static cloths, and cotton swabs. To not use cotton balls because you will have a higher chance of leaving cotton threads around your Personal Computer.

For cleaning the inside, generally brushing and the canned of compressed air will do the trick. For the case you might need those cotton swabs to clean the vent holes. The monitor needs the anti-static cloths or damp paper towels. The keyboards need brushing and some compressed air action. If you’re a fairly need guy at home and don’t own pets that shed, you can clean your Desktop every eight months or so. If otherwise, we do recommend a three month cleaning schedule.
